Living life out of a camper van, braving the cold, the icy roads, starry nights, thundering waterfalls. My buddy and I spent our winter break experiencing the majesty and harshness that is Iceland.

The first few days were absolutely unreal. It felt like being on an entirely different planet, albeit, a rather lonely planet. We spent hours on the empty road, sometimes it'd be just us for hours.

It's a weird feeling being surrounded by the most beautiful sights while feeling homesick. I grew tired of the long, dark days and unforgivingly icy winds.

We weren't always alone. We met some cool people (and horses) along the way.

The horses really brightened the days there.

All in all, the trip was one for the books. It's made me so much more appreciative of the warm, sunny weather I get in California.
