Growing up, I didn't get very many chances to go on camping trips. My family was more of a "there's too many bugs outside-- let's stay at a hotel" kind of family. I never knew what I was missing out on until the camping trip I took to Yosemite.
This is the camping site that me and my two buddies, Ruben and Sean, stayed at during our trip to Yosemite. We arrived during the night, set up camp in the dark, and went straight to bed, so we didn't get to see what it looked like until the morning. Needless to say, I was flipping out and taking pictures of everything when the sun rose and I saw this view.
It was Toff's first time camping too, so she was a little restless. A good breakfast helped.
After breakfast, which consisted of a banana and a granola bar, we hit the road for Upper Yosemite falls.
Took some epicly dramatic headshots before we began our trek.
I haven't fully adjusted to the altitude and this level of hiking was pretty new for me. I was struggling. About 3 hours in and only 30 minutes away from the top, Toff started throwing up water so sadly, we had to head back down. Honestly, I'm not sure if I could've made it myself.
Despite how defeated I felt, the view made it all worth it. Next time, I'll be better prepared and we'll finish that hike. Maybe I'll bring a lighter camera too.
